CPD FOR FOREIGN AUDITORS HOLDING CPA VIETNAM
On implementing of CPD plan for auditors in 2010, Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accoutants (VACPA) will hold a training course for foreign auditors holding CPA VN in Hanoi, as follows:

VACPA PROVIDES TRAINING IN THE MIDDLE AREA

On implementing 2010 training and CPD plan, VACPA held a 5 day training course (June 26-30) in Da Nang city. The program included 2 parts:

VACPA BECOMES A FULL MEMBER OF CONFEDERATION OF ASIAN AND PACIFIC ACCOUNTANTS (CAPA)
After 1 year application for membership of Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA), on June 11, 2010, VACPA received an official letter from CAPA Chief Executive which noticed that VACPA had been admitted as a full member of CAPA.

VACPA HOLDS CPD COURSE OF 2010 FOR FOREIGN AUDITORS
On implementation of training and CPD plan of 2010, from August 17 to 19, 2010 in Hanoi, Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants (VACPA) held the CPD course for foreign auditors.

INTRODUCTION OF THE LAW ON INDEPENDENT AUDITING

On implementation of the training and CPD program for auditors in 2010 and the cooperation program between VACPA and CPA Australia, on March 25 in Hanoi, VACPA and CPA Australia held the seminar “Introduction of Law on Independent Auditing”, with the lecture delivered by Mr. Gary Pflugrath – Policy Adviser, Audit and Assurance of CPA Australia.

The types of the VACPA members are: official members, associate members and honorary members.

Asean Federation of Accountants (AFA) held their 101st Council Meeting in Hanoi on August 7, 2010.

FOLLOW-UP SEMINAR ON THE LAW ON INDEPENDENT AUDITING
Taking the responsibility of examining and verifying the bill on independent auditing before submitting to the National Assembly, on August 19, 2010 in Hanoi, the Committee on Economy and Budget of the National Assembly held a seminar to collect comments and suggestions on the draft law on independent auditing.

SEMINAR ON CIRCULAR GUIDING ACCOUNTING OF DERIVATIVE FINANCIAL INSTRUMENTS
On August 17 and the morning of August 18, 2010, the Ministry of Finance held a seminar of the draft circular guiding accounting of derivative financial instruments. The seminar was hosted by the leaders of Accounting & Auditing Policies Department.
